SELLING ON SITE THERAPIES TO THE CORPORATE SECTOR

Course Description This one day course has been specifically developed to give you the skills and confidence to "sell" On Site Acupressure Massage and other on site therapies to businesses and other organisations as well as private clients. The day concentrates on methods of marketing that we have found actually work in practise rather than purely theoretical models. It includes role-playing, brainstorming and group discussions. Topics include:

• Fundamental Principles – the hooks that will decide a business to adopt OSM
• Avoiding Misconceptions
• How OSM combines well with other Corporate Wellness programs
• Setting Up – Your image and promotional material
• General Marketing – Writing a Press Release, Utilising Friends and Family, Exhibitions and Events, Getting Copy in the Press
• How to target Businesses more likely to be open to OSM
• The initial approach
• Presenting to a company
• How and what to charge – funding options available
• Marketing OSM within the organisation

This is a minimum theory maximum practical course packed full of new practical chair massage techniques to complement and add to the basic techniques.

Topics Covered

• Anma style new techniques, including Palm Squeeze Rotations and Devils Fingers


• Forearm press, roll and stretch techniques


• A complete section on working on the front of the shoulder/chest.


• Additional Techniques for the lateral aspect of the shoulder

HANDS FREE CHAIR MASSAGE

Practitioner health, avoiding injury and the longevity of one’s career are important subjects for all Bodywork practitioners. Hands free techniques are one way of potentially helping in all these areas.

This is a one day course demonstrating and teaching how techniques in Seated Acupressure Massage (On Site Massage) can be accomplished without relying on the hands, by the use of the practitioner’s elbow and forearm. A number of Additional Techniques are also included.

Particular emphasis is placed on the posture of the practitioner in applying the techniques.

Anyone with a recognised qualification in OSM is eligible to participate on the course.

SEATED THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Chair massage doesn't have to be carried out through the clothes! Some clients prefer the feel of a massage directly on the skin with oils or cream and for the practitioner it opens up a whole new way of working with the chair and allows you to incorporate table massage type techniques.

This course covers issues such as room set-up and client management, as well as introducing a complete set of Therapeutic Massage techniques for the chair. A fantastic alternative to the acupressure which is also very popular within both the Private and Corporate sectors.
