Frequently asked questions

Why is your Seated Acupressure Diploma course over 4 days?

Quite simply because that is how long it takes to train you to the highest standard.

We don’t cut corners, skip important points or rush you through your learning journey.

The course is split into two levels which enables you to absorb the information and have time to practice the techniques learned on P1, before you come back for P2. This is when we will ‘fine tune’ your techniques with further practical work, one to ones with the tutor, additional techniques, different length massages and so much more! All designed to ensure that you are confident and competent in your massage.

By the time you qualify with us you will have a full understanding of what you are doing and why you are doing it. We believe it is not enough to just go through the motions of giving a treatment. Instead you will be able to confidently give a treatment that is both safe and effective.

Our emphasis is on quality training which in turn produces quality practitioners.

Do you need any previous qualification in order to attend your Seated Acupressure (On Site) Massage Diploma?

Yes. It is important for students to already have knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology (A&P) and have hands on experience of Body Massage. With this knowledge and experience, it allows us to concentrate predominantly on the practical aspects of the Seated Acupressure Diploma (SAM) including practitioner posture, individual massage techniques and the flow and quality of the massage itself.

Can I still train with you if I have not yet completed my body massage course?

Yes, up to a point. You can complete the four classroom days, part of the theory exam and your case studies. You can only complete the practical exam once we have either a copy of your body massage qualification or, confirmation in writing from your training school that you have successfully completed the required exams.

If you are unsure if you are able to go ahead, just give us a call or email us.

Where do you hold your courses?

Regular courses are held in London (Hammersmith), Reading, Sheffield and Abingdon.  We can also bring our courses to you, subject to terms/conditions. Contact Us for further details.

What qualifications do your tutors have / Are your tutors qualified to teach?

All of our tutors have a nationally recognised teaching qualification. Each tutor qualified with AOSM, achieving high grades. We have all spent a minimum of two years as a working practitioner before being invited to train as a tutor for AOSM.

Further in house training takes place before becoming a fully fledged AOSM tutor. This in house training continues to ensure standards remain as high as possible.
