Most of my working life was in the printing trade and my first foray into massage was to train as an Aromatherapist in 1998 at Shirley Price in Hinckley.

After spending many years building a successful private practice, treating individual clients has now taken something of a back seat. I still keep updated with new research and use oils daily by making my own skin care products.

While studying Aromatherapy I was introduced to On Site Massage and was hooked. I completed my training with the Academy in London in 1999. In 2002 I was delighted to be invited to become a tutor with  AOSM.

Based in Sheffield I generally cover the northern areas, though have been known to travel to London and Reading to teach. As well as the satisfaction of seeing your students progress one of the bonuses of teaching is meeting practitioners from all over the country and sharing knowledge and experiences.

My own company. Vital Force Massage offers On Site Massage to mainly creative companies in the north. As this grows, I find the demands on my time running a busy company I have stepped away from teaching with AOSM. However, my relationship with AOSM remains and I am now an external examiner for the Seated Acupressure Diploma.

Over the last few years my interest has been in all things nutritional, sparked by seeing a nutritionist friend about my own health and once again I was hooked. I trained in Nutritional Healing and now much of my time is taken up by research, developing workshops and writing books about keeping healthy and happy, especially at work.

In my free time (what's that?!) I like to get out into the countryside. Living in Sheffield I'm about 10 minutes away from the glorious Peak District and like nothing better than getting my boots on and tramping up a hill (Mam Tor a firm favourite). Rain or shine, it blows all the city stress away
